Well I've been doing graphics programs on 320MB PC100 RAM for about 5 years. Photoshops, with Flash running in the background, and PSD files with 50+ layers (that's where it starts bogging down, layers and filters). Anything's better than that!

I'll have 512MB soon, and maybe another 512 for ~$40 or so. My ultimate goal is to have 4 1GB sticks, 1 for each slot of the new mobo that came in the mail today.

I can run at at higher rez and 512 textures. But I think AC look bigger at 800x600. Thus easyer to shoot down. Running at your set up id get about the same results if i rember correctly.

I mean, I have a dinky little AMD 2700+ (which runs at 2.1 Ghz), 512MB of old PC2100 ram, an ATI 9000Pro and get monitor max fps up high to a low of 30 fps in the soup using 1280 x 1024 and 512 textures.

Notice the 2.1 Ghz . I am not quite ready to start overclockin a brand new rig. After I get some better cooling I might start thinking about it.
Rolex i would be interested in what you use for cooling with that overclock.
