Trim and cockpits
« on: August 13, 2005, 05:28:13 AM »
One of the pleasures of IL-2 for me is the differences between the planes.

It's a suprise to discover that a plane that's "primitive" in my eyes has trim on all three axis whereas an "advanced" plane such as the 109 doesn't.

Simmarly it's a surprise to see the 109 doesn't have a variometer whilst even a Gladiator does.

AH evens out a lot of these differences. All planes have the same intrumentation; and all planes have trim on all axis all the time.

I'd like to see some of the historical dissimilarities introduced.

Celebrate diversity! :)

I AGREE as well. I believe you can deactivate the combat auto trim function and get closer to what you are looking for.  :salute

well we all preach "DON"T YOU KNOW HOW TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION? "

then we criticize when someone does

or someone does and the thread gets locked for being bumped..... ROFL........

least it was good to see a post of  an old Damned Squady....... even if he was PNG'ed once because of his British humor/Joke was unrecognized and took as a flame towards the OCLUB topic AT HAND......

See Rule #5

which was his his very last post to these boards and involvement in the game  :(

ROFL.he was given parolee status ....... I will let him know on the Damned maillist   :D

maybe he might return to Aces High  :bolt:

I can clear up any confusion over Trim and Cockpits by supplying an example of both. :devil
