for all of them - pitch, yaw, etc:
0 - 90 sliders:  all the way up
deadpan and damping: all the way down

here is a AH Saitek profile to get you started

Eagler how can all the way up be good? That should make the stick extremely sensitive shouldn't it? Atleast for Pitch.

I have mine flattened up to 60 then sharp rise to 90, a logarithmic curve

Having 'em up all the way would make my stick act like a crackhead after an expresso binge...

That would be a great setup, except for the fact that the X45 sometimes decides to hate people. I've had 7 X45s in the past year begin spiking horibly; usually just where the spring lets go. This means that that sensitive slider setting would cause me to bounce insanely in every direction. Also, the plastic disk causes rubbing no matter what you do and will make the throttle spike after a while.

It seems like there is one low-quality or badly placed chip in the X45, as all 7 of my X45s died EXACTLY the same deaths. Lucky BestBuy sold me a replacement plan for $15.

I guess so but that is the way I have always had my X45.
when I have to use my x52 (when the x45 is being repaired/replaced), I find I have to adjust them some because of sensitivity of the x52.
I heard about the flat setup from someone when I first replaced the analong x36 with the usb x45. It has been that way since ... maybe that is why it is so hard to get a hit :)

anyone else have a setup they wanna share?

I have played with it alot today after coming to the conclusion that I was unhappy with the one I had.

The one I had was all the first (0-60) set quite low, 0 almost all the way down, 10 just a bit higher (increase height with about the size of the actual "marker" and then increase it with as much to 60 then the curve would steeping quite fast and go all the way up to 90.

I played some with this today and found that the 60 slider kicked in already when my stick was at 30% movement which was WAY too early, I expected the 60 slider to kick at 50% stick movement at the earliest. Played around some more and came to the conclusion I can't get it setup the way I want for unexplainable reason.

Using the Cougar setup instead now, see how I like it.

I have the exact same equipment. SNO posted this to the Ghosts website some time ago. It's an excellent set-up, try it.

He everyone!  And it's perfect timing of this thread:)

Time for a dweeb question concerning my X45.  I've had it for a year...never used it even once as work and family priorities kept me from doing anything else < sigh >, but I'm forcing myself to make some "me" time at the homestead and plan on doing some flying finally.

In short, I understand about the profiles and have one I've configured, but have yet to be able to test it.  My thanks to the others that put up their own profiles as it helped in seeing what I could do with my own and I apologize for not remembering your names.

I can set up and use my stick within AH's stick mapper to mimic what my profile does and it seems to work as mapped.  But how can I just get AH to use my actual profile?  I tried to do that by enabling it before starting AH.  I tried to do it by enabling it after I'm in AH, but still no joy.  Is there something within AH that I need to do to tell it to ignore my original stick mappings within AH?

Sorry for such a dweeby question, but I'm a Smoking Wreck and if I'm to auger, I need to do it in a controlled fashion

Thanks in advance;)

The AH mappings overrule any other mappings. In order for a profile (I'm guessing you mean the macros in the X45 profile software) to work, you should unmap all AH JS buttons and setup the keyboard map to match the profile.

Or, you could do it the easy way; ditch the profiler and do it like a normal person in AH. The stick doesn't require any of the software to work.
