You forgot this one:

Another reason the B-24 shouldn't be perked is that (according to http://www.b24memorial.org/history.html) it was built in greater numbers than any other US aircraft in history and is the most-produced multi-engine aircraft in the world [to this day].

Perked or not i don't care, but hunting   B 24s,17s,26s   is a risky bussines,  should be payed better in fighter perks

i don't think B24s are more durable,  All bombers have the same sesitive spot :> if you hit them in center of wing+ fuselaje  from above , few rounds set them on fire

I normally fly between 15-20K. Alt isn't the problem. The problem is the B-24 tends to burn fast. I get my fair share of kills from the guns, but a couple of good hits by a enemy fighter and the B-24 burns like a meteor for a couple minutes and the wing comes off.

No need for it to be perked

come on..the only reason to fly a B24 over a Lancaster is that it has a ball turret...

I say give us an earlier version of b24 with no balls...If ya want a ball turret?..Perk it.

Bloody hell people they are easy to kill and there are few enough bombers in the air as it is.

Look at my film if you think they are too tough or too dangerous.

you shouldn't be attacking from below and behind.  however perhaps what we should be asking for is the Ju88C6a with the 6 cannon nose with the schrage musik for the gunners.  we should also have the schrage musik option for the 110.  also has anyone else given thought to utilizing a formation of lightly loaded B26s to hit from underneath with the top turrets?

Tried bomber vs bomber attacks but why should one do it?

A normal 2x20mm gunned fighter will do it faster and better.

Not to mention the normal 3 or 4 gunned fighters people usually fly (tiffie,La7, Niki etc)

And it out climbs the lanc by about double.

It takes A LOT of patience to take a lank to 18k... But a B24 can get there as fast as a B17 and bring a little more load.

The lanc bomb load is just so heavy that its a hassle to get it above a few thousand feet.

But basicly the lanc climbs so slow due to bomb load being so much greater?

How does it perform with the same amount of load?

IMO all the buffs bar the B26 are easy to shoot down.  I haven't found the B24 to be any more difficult than any other buff.  It's slow enough that multiple passes can be made against it without any real difficulty.  Added with the fact that it sets on fire so easily i don't see any reason why the B24 should be perked.  I find the B24 to be amongst the easiest of bombers to shoot down.

The only bomber i find hard to shoot down is the B26 simply because of it's speed.

Shouldn't it be "F is its name" not "F is it's name"? :p

I agree about the B26 though, dangerous little bugger.

Speaking of which, the 152 is an AWESOME bomber buster. And it has longer range than a dora (and a DT as well). 90x30mm and I think 250x20mm (MG150/20, is it called?). Slow to climb and accelerate, once at speed it is a nasty thing for a bomber to run up against.

350x20mm in 2xMg 151/20.

DT is not something that one should use in Ta152 and 190's though as even after it has been dropped the plane suffered from lowered speed.

The 152 is a good bomber killer but suffers from the same thing as Dora does in AH. Radiator hits nomatter where the shot comes from.
