Back left up view in P51d
« on: August 31, 2005, 02:17:21 AM »
Tried to adjust the back-left up view (1+5 key combo) and press f10 to set in the 51D. No message that the setting has been set nor does the view hold to what I want it to be. Please fix?

If more than three buttons are pressed at once, the motherboard speaker will beep and the presses won't register.

Works for me, i tried it.

Maybe you have a write protection on the file that saves the views, hard drive next to full or anti virus program messing up?

It seems that the back up left is still non functional. It is in all planes. I press 5 and 3 together on number pad and shift the veiw to what I want then hit F10 to save.  No message saying the setting has been saved like appears with all the other views. I did a full install of game after patch 3 and the problem persists, even after the full install.

use your joystick hat for back view, keypad 5 for up, and then hit F10.

Can't hit three buttons at the same time.  (i.e. kp 3  kp 5 and f10=3)

If he can press two keys (KP5 and KP3) then adjust the view (cursor or pageup pagedn)  He is pressing 3 keys.  I wouldn't think this is a problem pressing 3 keys at one time.  I can press 3 keys at one time, not 4.

Its actually 5 and 1 for back up left. 2 keys. I can adjust the view in all other views BUT that one. It won't hold. Does not matter if I'm using hat keys or keyboard THAT one won't hold the setting. I can use arrow or page up/page down to move it around but F10 does not work ON THAT ONE. No mesage appears saying the head position had been saved ON THAT ONE view. Head position works on all other views BUT THAT ONE.:furious

Stegahorse,

I just tried adjusting that view and saving the view.  It worked on my PC.  One thing you could try is to eliminate the possibility of hardware problems.  If you have some way to test your keys to make sure you don't have a bad one.  Most likely your KP1, KP5 or even the F10.

Good luck!

it ain't the keys, I can change the viewing angle, I just can't get the head position to hold where I want. F10 does not work on THAT ONE VIEW.
How many times I got to repeat it?
It must be a programming glitch.
It has been around for a while, like since 2.01.
I had hoped that it would be fixed by now.

Then i appears that I need to redo all the .cfg files. 1 works ok and 5 works ok.
1+5 does not.
What I need is not derision, but advice on how to fix it.

Seeing as you're about the only one in history to have this problem, I'm not sure anyone will have an answer.

One thing you could try is: Dig up the config file for the D-Pony in your settings folder and delete it (make a copy of it somewhere else as a backup). Try from scratch one so to speak. Maybe that helps... or email skuzzy at HTC, although im not sure hes got the time to reply at the moment.
