The Spitfire and Bf109 lineups are being refined to be more representative and to fix the hodgepodged Spit IX.

The Spitfire lineup that has been suggested is:

Spitfire Mk Ia, +12lbs boost (current is +6lbs boost, but labled +12)
Spitfire Mk Vb, +12lbs boost (current is +16lbs boost)
Spitfire F.Mk IX, Merlin 61 at +15lbs boost without the option for the .50 cals and rockets
Spitfire LF.Mk VIII, Merlin 66 at +18lbs boost (new model that Pyro was unsure about the need for so is the least likely to show up)
Spitfire F.Mk XIV, +21 pounds boost, perked (Current Mk XIV is at +18lbs boost.  It will probably stay at +18lbs boost, but might go to +21lbs)
Spitfire LF.Mk XVIe, Merlin 266 at +18lbs boost, clipped wings (+25lbs was requested, but the performance may be too much for AH)

Seafire L.Mk III (replaces the Seafire Mk IIc)

The Bf109G-10 is no longer going to be in AH.  My guess is that the Bf109G-14 will be added and the Bf109K-4 will replace the Bf109G-10.

and the 16 also if the preformance is to much they just have to perk it and well thats how it flew in wwII and this is a wwII vid game so we just have to deal with it. atleast we will have something new to fly.

Viper,

The Spitfire Mk XVI flew at both +18lbs and +25lbs boost during WWII, so it is really their choice.

As to when, that will be when v2.06 is released.  I'd guess a month or so.

Yeah, but from reading all those spit posts a little while back, I believe it was said that the Spit 16 will not be outperforming the 14 at all.

Spit XVI at +25lbs boost would only out perform the Soit XIV at +18lbs boost in a few areas.  The Spit XIV at +21lbs boost would be better in almost al ways.

also note that Spit LF 16 is almost the same as Spitfire LF 9 (i believe the most common) except it has an american engine and a pointy rudder tail.

The XVI will have clipped wings in AH too I believe, atleast that was what was said.

Bring it with 25+ I say, perk it if needed for the MA.

It should Wilbus.  All Mk XVIs had clipped wings with two 20mms and two .50 cals.

I am sure its 2 weeks.

And i would like it to be 25. why not have a high performance spit, can still perk it.

In AH the IX/XVI will only mean the following -

1942 F IX - Merlin 61, 303 + 20mm, NO ord. (Better high alts)
1944 LF XVI - Merlin 66, 50cal + 20mm, ord options, (Lower alts)

In real life 1944 The LF IX and LF XVI used the same airframe only difference was the motor in the LFXVI was a Packard built Merlin 66 in place of a Rolls Royce built Merlin 66.

Spit XIV is getting boosted to 21.
