Windows XP Firewall Settings
« on: September 16, 2005, 02:51:56 PM »
I have narrowed my microphone problems down to the Windows XP firewall.

With it enabled my mic TX does not get out.  With the firewall disabled I can talk just fine.

How do I have to set up my Windows XP firewall to let it through??

I am running Windoes XP PRO, Service Pack 2 with up to date updates.

I already have aceshigh.exe added as an exception.

What else do I have to set up and what menus do I go through to get there???

Thanks

Get a real antivirus and firewall program. Ditch the Windows firewall.

Hmmm....seems it doing a pretty good job, if you ask me; stopping traffic, I mean;)

I'm running the same setup, XP Pro, with all the updates too.  I hope to set up vox tonight once I pick up my mic.  I'll see how it goes and report back.
