Thought we'd try Karnak's suggestion this week:
CHINA-BURMA-INDIA, 1944-1945
Overrun by the Japanese at the beginning of the war, the CBI
was a backwater front for two years. During this period the
Allies concentrated on overcoming the logistical nightmares
of supporting armies and air forces in the trackless jungles
and mountains of the theater. Finally, late in 1944, the British
and Americans launched offensives to recapture Burma and
open a land route to China. The Japanese responded with a
fierce counterattack. Operations in Burma concluded only
at the beginning of May, 1945; the war ended before the
Allies could continue their planned advance into Malaya.
Of questionable importance, and largely forgotten, the CBI
was the scene of some of the most savage fighting, under
some of the most brutal conditions, of the entire war.
This setup is the work of Karnak's research into the aircraft
available to the participants, and of his thoughts on how to
translate those aircraft into the AH environment.

Notes:
Puffy ack is .25; low-level ack is .5.
Fuel burn is 1.5.
Radar is: Tower 158400; Sector 237600.
Killshooter is on.
Friendly collisions are off.
Visibility is 12 miles.
Base capture settings are standard.
Carriers have no planes and should play no
part.
We will watch to see how the Spit 14s work out.
Initially they will be enabled at all airfields.
The "front line" of 1944 has been fussed with
to facilitate combat, while (hopefully) preserving
the flavor of the theater.
