Ahh.

That looks like metal with anti-skid pattern. If you do it like that you could get an electric carpet roller thingy that rolls out the carpet for the kids to play on. Really easy, ill see if i can find pics of one that i saw a while back.

Man I love Beemers. Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama in the 50's and 60's you didn't see anything exotic. For me it started when, as a kid of 10 y.o., I fell in love with a BMW motorcycle one of the older kids on my block had just bought. 1962, all black (as they all were back then). Just something about those twin horizontal jugs that made 'em different from the Hondas, Triumphs, BSAs, 2-stroke Yammerhaws, S'ukis and Harleys everone else was ridin'. And the sound.....classy.

From them I took notice of their cars.

Well thanks guys.  I might hang out at the beemer board some rip (spell it right ;))
I've learned a little more about the engine. From what I understand, the only thing each bank of cylinder shares is a crankshaft and the same motor oil. making an electrical breakdown impossible. The car is supposed to go into "limp mode" to get you home. Even two alternators heh. Troubleshooting a prob might be costly.
who keers.:rofl

I know your kidding about that last part of the sentence, but for you kiddies out there....

Bimmer: Automobile made by BMW
Beemer: Motorcycle made by BMW

Don't ask, just use the proper terminology. :D

That is a puuurty car Hb. Dreams do come true.

My dream car growing up was a Triumph TR6. I know, they break, they cost a fortune to fix and they are british. But I will have one someday.

And here I thought that people (not just the FDB's) gave you a ration of doodoo because you had a holier-than-thou-mixed-with-a-persecution-complex type of personality.

Its pretty obvious that you don't know me very well.  I posted a pic of my new car, and got a ration of crap from you guys. Not sure how you mathematically came to that conclusion.

" Personally, mine is not for collecting so much junk that I can't park a car in it."

neither is ours, whats stopping a car from being parked in it is the bits from a different car filling it up.
