Is that 'Get Carter' as in the recent crappy remake, or as in the superb 70's (?) Caine version?
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

I assumed it to be the crappy Stallone remake. The original Caine version is a classic. Agreed.

DJV you have 197 dvds.
At an average price of $15 a dvd (thats cheap) thats $2955 in DVDs. thats about 8 years and 1 month of aces high, or a new athlon 1.4 gig with a gf 3 and a 23 inch monitor with all the other high end game crap.

You a member of a club like comubia house or something?

Quote
WRONG: Armageddon, Lost in Space, Mission to Mars, Spawn

Excellent special effects and great sound.  Not much else.  Fun to listen to on the 5.1 system :)

Quote
WRONG: Baseketball

Hmmmm... disagree with you here.  I like the humor in this one.

Quote
Beverly Hills Ninja

More of a tribute to Chris Farley than required watching.

Quote
WRONG: Batman Forever

This one isn't my fault.  My wife went through a Val Kilmer thing... this is one of the side effects.  On the bright side, I still get to watch "Tombstone" whenever I want.

Quote
WRONG: FX2, Labyrinth, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: First Contact, Lethal Weapon 2, 3, and 4

I have a wife.  She is a trekkie.  She likes Brian Denehy and Mel Gibson.  No other explanation needed here ;)

Quote
WRONG: Get Carter

Perhaps the worst movie made in the last 20 years.  How can you not want to own this?  Not only is it poorly written, poorly acted and poorly shot... but it is done in Seattle!

The cinematagraphy alone merits the purchase.  Those cutaway seens where they show the mustang driving upside down?  Sheer lunacy.  A classic "what not to do when making a movie" movie.

Quote
WRONG: Little Nicky

Dude.. DID YOU SEE THIS MOVIE?  They had 10 wheelchair basketball players crash into the side of a bus.  I was laughing so hard that my wife almost divorced me because nobody should be laughing at something that stupid.

Quote
WRONG: The Postman

For some perverse reason I cannot explain, I actually liked this movie.  Please note this when I give reviews.

Quote
WRONG: Road Trip

Hmmmm... I like this one quite a bit.  I can see you being neutral on it... but not panning it.  It had perhaps the most non-enhanced breast shots I've seen in a movie in the last 5 years.

Quote
WRONG: Unbreakable

A rare movie where I liked the story and idea of a plot more than the actual movie.  The spin it takes on comic books is very unique.

Quote
WRONG: Varsity Blues

It was on sale.

Quote
Must Have: Alien, Aliens, Jaws

I'll have to wait for these to go on sale.  I want them all, but horror isn't overly welcomed by the wife unit.  They are definately going to be purchased... but the wife must not know.

Quote
Must Have: Amadeus

I'd rather shove bamboo spikes under my fingernails than watch this movie again.

Quote
Better Off Dead

Ah.. I wish.  It hasn't been released on DVD yet and there are no immediate plans to do so.  Some movies I'd throw in with this:

3 O'Clock High
Real Men

Both classics in my opinion.  Neither widely distibuted.  I don't even know if these were sold on VHS at other-than-rental prices.

i would also suggest a drama and two comedies:

-the year of living dangerously
-they call me bruce
-blackula

personally i have trouble watching most movies more than once. some exceptions to that are on your list - like bladreunner. never get tired of that one.

LOL! No bias there eh?

That would have to be another "while the wife's not looking" purchase. ;)

Good lord DJ, you're worse than I am.  And how could you have all of those movies without having the Leprechaun movies?!?  I thought everyone had those?  And both Jack Frost movies (not the horror one with Michael Keaton, the other one)?  hmmm...maybe it's just me.

Leprechaun 1 (with Jennifer Annison)
Leprechaun 2
Leprechaun 3
Leprechaun 4: In Space (where a guy gets the death sentence because a queen flashes her tits at him)
Leprechaun 5: In the Hood (with IceT sporting an afro)

Oh how I love cheesey horror movies!

Good one Sandman, The Fog was creepy at the time and still is (just saw it on TV a few months back). Of course, I was in high school when I first saw it and had just started "partying" at the time  :)Cat People was pretty scary too at the time.

Not a bad collection SOB.  Just think how much better you could do once you're gainfully employed.  Though, I do understand that would mean your expulsion from the FDPs.

Terminator comes out sometime soon (may have already).  I want to get that and T2... though I'm not a big fan of the collector's editions.  A bit too $$$ for the volume I go through.  The only DVD I was willing to eat it on was Clerks ($39.95).
