Sure, if you model everything on one control quadrant since they don't really make a "realistic" game control.   Also...  it would be too big of an advantage for the allies since 190's can't control their mixture so....

Yes.  With the arcade fuel consumption multiplier, I'm looking for any way to increase endurance.

No.  I think it would add too much complication and drive of casual players.  It would especially hurt those without a HOTAS setup.

Yes, why not?  I don't think this adds unnecessary complexity any more than adjusting RPMs... how many of you never even touch the RPM control?  Of course it benefits those who know it's there, but it won't keep a newbie from hopping in a plane and getting kills from the get go.

no mixture a bit too much for me.
engine revs and manifold should effect fuel consumption a little more though, i think, so that we can fly longer if we want to cruise. As it is now i cant see much difference in cruising in ma.

How about all of you that want to have this realism stuff shell out the money to send us all to flight school so we will know the reasons why we need to adjust the fuel mixture and what the pros/cons are.

You have to leave most things as either automatic or not required for most of the people out there.

You see the problems most newbies have just figuring out how to drop bombs or select different loadouts in the hanger, you want to add all this new stuff to make it even more complex?

In a historical event where conditions are closer to RL (plane types for countries, large formations with an assigned mission, etc.) then yes, I would like to see some more realistic features. However, in the "Shoot everything that is red" world of the MA, extra settings for the plane are justgoing to make it a pain in the ass.

And another thing. Quit whining about how Uber buff guns are. Most of the time, a buff flies all by himself and his whole day is over the moment a high 20mm cannon equiped plane has an E advantage to make a fast dive at him. The buffs need to be able to shoot the way they do. If there were buffs flying in box formation by the hundreds, sure, make the guns more RL, at least then they have a chance in the numbers.

The 51 has "AUTO" settings for everything, Midnight. No prob...

One of these days they'll figure out that adding complexity won't make things any harder, but just widen the gap between dweeb and veteran.
