I think I'd be lucky to last half a turn after the merge in that plane set up.

In a same plane matchup, I might do a little better (i.e. live a few seconds longer) but the result would most likely be the same though.

Pellik and I had some great duels awhile back while working on some maneuvers.  Most of those duels though ended with either one of us augering into the water during a rolling scissors on the deck.  It was strange fighting a player that basically flies like you do, like fighting an Evil Ack-Ack.  Murdr is the same way.  Another good P-38 driver, Crims, has his own style that is hard to match.

I've never had more fun, nor did I feel more evenly matched, than when I used to duel NathBDP regularly.  Those were duels worth seeing, but we never recorded them.  They were purely for fun and never to determine who was "best."  Rather, we used the sessions to hone our skills and try new things without the pressure of performing to expectations.

Everyone should be so lucky as to have a dueling partner who perfectly matches him in skill and outlook.  It's a wonderful way to learn and have fun doing it.

Well Levi

during the beta of II, we were in spit V's in the beta arena and I shot you down 3 or 4 times, do I hear anything? any praise? any -hey-check out Newbs!!
Ok, granted you may have been in a turn fight with Wildthing at the moment and I snuck in and took a cheap shot, ok fine, may have been all the killz, but, that is neither here nor there, they were killz !! , ok fine, granted the SpitV was kinda uber during the beta, doesn't mean my skillz as a cheap shot potato should lessen the recognition that......
ok, where the H*** was I going with this?

I agree with nomak.  Once you get to a certian point, those duels between top echelon can go either way.  Its like anything else competetive.  The closer you get to the top, the more minor the factor between winning and losing is.  Simply a good or bad night could be the difference.

To me, they are some of the best fights though.  I know Ive had some enjoyable matchups with (in no particular order)nomde, stang, morph, levi, shane, kappa and the like.

I like that matchup, sounds good.  Kermit vs Slash.
You'd most likely win:D

Lately, I've realized that flying the typhy gives you the ability to win 1v1 co alt fights as soon as the other makes just 1 mistake.  I've learned that I can never beat the other plane for mostly likely the other plane will turn, accell, roll or climb better than mine.  So, whenever I do win 1v1s, it's the pilot I have to beat and not the plane.  Problem is I keep running into good pilots.:D   stupid nomde in his jug:D

Yeah, Kermit, I was in the Spit 14 the other day that you tried to jump the tail end of the Stuka Mission.

You were flying the Typhoon brilliantly.  You caused me to overshoot twice before I figured out what you were doing.  Had there not been another fighter nearby, you would have made me a little bit nervous.  Even though you turned on me, I was never in danger of being hit.

The third turn though, I stuck right to your butt.  Had an A8 not come in Guns Blazing, I would have gotten you.

me too it was interesting. Infact it was a three way bout between levi WT and bighorn. it was a pretty even match and the all won their fair share. It was insane because they would be mirror images of each other doing the same moves at the same time. they collided alot. It came down to who would make the first mistake.

Anyway i would like to see me and furball duel, with .45s! Bring it sissy boy! :p

ahhh, I remember not having the E to follow you up in the vertical.  It was very frustrating because I knew it was a matter of time before you got me.
