GASP!! is this a HO?!!?

i'm sooo confused as to whether this kill on tripled is a HO?  The kill came at 1:38 in the film, with the relevant action 1:30 - 1:43.

Appears he got smoked on an early "deflection" shot. The kill came when he flew right across your guns. Did not see a HO as I call it anywhere in the film.

After watching the film I do feel better about my lack of gunnery skills though.

the smoker was his wingy, chaingun... and gawd, i swear i pounded him a few times in that fight.

i'm referring to "tripled" and the kill on him, tore his wing off at the root... insta-kill basically.

yeah my gunnery sucks lately, price to pay for not playing much the past few months. i was never much an ace shooter, i ususally have to work fo rmy kills by outflying them to teh point where i just can't miss. that hurts when going up against mini-hordes tho'  - gives them time to pigpile.

No one should ever complain of a HO when it is 2v1...even if it was a real HO (which it wasn't), whatever the single has to do to live is OK in my book.

Soon some will be calling every kill a HO.   Other than a plane with rear guns, each kill I get is by pointing my plane at the enemy.

Time to get over the HO.    In its classic definition, two planes are facing each other.  Each can get a gun resolution.  Each can kill the other.

in it's classic flight sim definition, a HO is when two planes are barreling directly towards each other, in a manner similar to jousting, and shots are fired prior to actually passing each other, sometimes starting as far out as 1k.

i would say the first shot was closest to the HO. The kill on tripled wasn't even close to a HO. Nice flying except you suck at aiming.

Looked like an open cockpit shot to me which is hardly an HO. Probably, he is just complaining because it was you. And you were in an La7. EVERYONE knows that La7 pilots are talentless HO dweebs... all they have to do is point the thing and shoot.
