OK i'll plan to be there around 10 assuming traffic - then whatever at the gate to get in the venue.

Well just so hangtime doesn't have a heart attack......the last airshow we did had more than a few parking zones for the patrons.  The flight line itself had a few security checkpoints to go through.  In order to go onto the flight line you had to go through a security check point NO DIFFERENT THAN IF THE BASE WAS RUNNING ACTUAL AIR OPERATIONS.

In 1978 I was the Travis Air Show. Sat on my cooler full of beer, smoked marlboros, had a Buck knife on my belt and had a VHF radio to listen to the cockpit and tower traffic.

Don't tell me the Terrorists haven't won.

nope,

no cavity searches for me.  Instead I'll be maning a grill on saturday churning out burgers for the Nazi organization we military members call AAFES.  then on sunday have 4 hours of duty at our own shop EGRESS booth were we let the kids try on a flight helmut and get their picture taken on an real life de-milled Ejections Seat.
