hitting buffs with ROCKETS

I have found that the German rockets are the best ones to use.

I attack from the high 6 position.Whenever i fly a bomber and someone trys the 6 attack i think what a dummie.This actually works too your advantage.When you are 1.5 out and they start shooting raise the nose up and fire.

Once I pulled goon duty for my squad.  So suddenly I get jumped by a Ki84.  He starts flying all around pulling all these fancy moves.

He can't even get close to my C47.  Finally he gets down on the deck and starts turn fighting.  But my C47 out turns him.  Eventually, I get on HIS six with my C47.  I was anxious for my squad mates to get there to help me with this problem.  But I had the problem under control.

This guy is getting pissed.  No matter what he does, he can't shake me.

Finally he runs out of fuel and just leaves.  

He screams over channel 200, "YOU FRICKIN CHEATER!  A C47 cannot do that!  I have the whole thing recorded!  Hitech will get this in his email in 5 minutes!"

I said back over channel 200, "You recorded that?"



I then said, "Would you mind sending it to me also?  I was laughing so hard I forgot to hit the record button."

LMAO.


I remeber a similar mission we (71 Sqn) once did. Three goons chasing a poor Pony all over the place. We kept on his six for over 5 mins before another Squaddie came in and saved the troops.

Sadly all i have is a screenshot. Never got around to hitting the 'record button' either. But it was hilarious.

~FATE~ was in a scenario one evening flying 110s vs buffs.  We went to the DA and practiced the technique of using rockets.  TCx3 scored the first kill and figured out the distance.  Knowing the correct distance and HUD position, it was still hit and miss.

I came along a set of 26s in the MA one day with a loaded 110.  Since I hate b-26s with a passion, I dropped my eggs and went to the rockets.  Scored 2 kills and finished the 3rd off with cannons.

Next time the opportunity comes along, Ill be sure to record it.

i know i was once in a dogfight VS a 110 once.... i went vert, and just as he started to stall at the end of my rope, he fired his rockets, they blew up right next to me and pinged me quiet bad...didnt kill me though, and i finished off the rope fine.... but it was very very close

you got to hit backspace (default) to cycle through available ord and then use the 2ndary fire button to release them. oh, making sure of course you load rockets onto your plane in the hanger b4 you roll.
