Best description I ever heard for a voice was "glass".... Think it was re Suzy Bogguss (yeah, unfortunate name)... but it made sense to me. Next best was Rod Stewart (yeah, unfortunate reference) being "The vocal equivalent of distortion." Still, two pretty good characterizations. And I like glass voices.

hmm, I would never get that unless I was reading the lyrics. I like my version though, cause it seems complex.
