The French have always guarded their culture - they have an academy to keep the French language free from English influence, and have done so for many decades.

I don't know what the French are all worried about.  Hollywood has made some great films keeping faithful to French culture.

Just to name a few, "A-Scent of the Matterhorn", "Wild Over You", why "For Scent-Imental Reasons" even won an Ocsar.
