My office sits about a mile off the end of the runway of our local Air Reserve Base. They are just now gearing up for a new shipment of C-17's to replace the C-141's that used to fly out of here every hour or so.

Holy crap! They are louder, bigger and I swear those guys want to fly them like fighters sometimes. I had one today come from the west, do a hard 90 right over my head and head south to the runway... wow.

LOL.. yah.. the C-17 is a kick-ass transport. Watching 'em do 'combat approaches' and 'evasive - threat avoidance' takeoffs must be quite a show. ;)

They are a cool aircraft.  See our share of them here in the springs.  Yes the evasive takeoff is cool, but watching a C5 do a combat landing is cooler!
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

every morning.....no matter the temp or 50MPH winds that we get here.  What's funny is we walk around the C130s because of the props but under the 17s even with APUs running.

I think a C-17 Gunship would be pretty cool.  Kinda like the C-5 Flying Circus gunships from the "wingman" novels.

Your little red book doesn't have anything on military regs.  I think the language and contradictions are purposly written to confuse said little red book holders.

I have a contradiction with that. Since you are doing FOD, you misinterpret originals reader’s interpretation. Airmen are a free labor grunts designed particularly for FOD walks.       :D

he hasn't got the corrected chairforce version that sez "1 blue E6 = 1 green E2".
