Comparing that to Kerrys campaign, I think you would find Kerrys campaign to be absolutely a textbook case in "dynamic" when the context of "dynamic" means fluid, changing daily with the political wind, saying what someone wants to hear, reflecting the polls rather than representing true beliefs and conviction.

Don't get me wrong... There's seems to be a fine line between pandering and representing your constituency. My point was that the party platforms do change even radically over time.

Wouldn't you prefer a political party that had the courage to change and adjust to our chaning times?  I would.

No argument from me.

From the look of things I can't see McCain as being any less Republican than Bush or Swarzenegger. Hell, Clinton got elected for his second term by basically stealing Dole's platform. With the exception of just a few issues, I see very little difference between the GOP and the DNC. Sure, there are whackjobs on the far left, but I think there are just as many on the far right. It's the ones in the middle that get elected to the oval nowadays.

I do.

I'd prefer a button that says REJECT! but we dont have that.  I'd love it if we had the option of sending ALL the nominees back and telling the political parties to do it over until they send us one we want.

Our problem isn't that he votes how his constituents want.  It's that he doesn't vote like a republican.

Good for him, IMHO. He's there to represent the people not the gawdamned party.

IMHO what we need on EVERY election ballot is 1 additional check box!

with the title NONE of the ABOVE!

Make em pick new candidates and rerun the election until they put up someone worth voting for!
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

He really just does whatever he feels is best for us and I don't think he gives a rats bellybutton about what the people he represents actually want.

For instance, most Arizonans want illegal immigration dealt with and the border more secure. We have passed props that have been ignored, while McCain is authoring a bill with the liberals in order to grant citizenship to illegals.

The "maverick" sentator is just a potato.
