why was he ever let out of prison? how did we get to a point where you can go to jail 3 times for child molesting i mean really! shouldnt they just execute them the first time or maybe the second to allow for those who might be able to rehabilitate? probably one innocent person would die for every 100 guilty child molestors - sounds ok to me-

Pedophiles are the most likely to continue to commit crimes. That has been known for some time. A couple laws were passed requiring sex offenders to be registered and that information to be made available in the communities that they live in. That seems kind of draconian as the subject has supposedly served his time and has been punished. The real danger is that they will continue as this animal did.

The death penalty is not necessarily a punishment. It is a permanent barrier to recidivism. It becomes a means of protecting society at large, and in this case small and young, from creatures such as this one. Perhaps Massachusetts needs to rethink (if they ever really did think) their policy on repeat child sex offenders. Perhaps at least one child would been able to live had that been done.
