Spitfire Mk Ia: Thousand Cut Killer

Oooh, look, the redone killer by a thousand cuts is up for viewing.

The skin looks really nice.  Very Battle of Britain.

Looks nice, but the gun holes and the little red patches around them are not on top of each other.

Looks like one pair of guns got misplaced, you sure that guns and red patches are at diffrent locations?

Oops, I didn't catch that before I posted it.  That will be fixed before release.

Are the wings a little thicker on the Mk1 model then later models?..

I thought I remember hearing someone compare the spitty1's wings to hurri1's

I love shooting dweebs down with massed 303s. More satisfying then the 2-3 cannon hits.

No.  The first full wing redesign is on the Spitfire F.Mk 21.  Other changes are gradual.

Spitfire Mk V sees the introduction of metal skinned ailerons

Spitfire Mk VIII sees the introduction of a stiffer wing and shortend ailerons

Various marks have either clipped wings or lengthend wings, either  modification is easy to add and remove.

Just me or does the upper nose directly behind the spinner look to 'sharp' or bulbous?
Almost like it has the enlarged upper panel to take later Merlins and Griffons.

I don't see that, but the nose looks too long and the "chin" seems distorted for it.

Look at the screenshot of the underside on spit1, does it seem like something is weird with how the gear are showing?

The Hurri concentrates the .303s too much.  For the real thousand cut effect you need the .303s spread over the leading edge of the wing like on the Spitfire Mk Ia.;)

i wish i could put my finger on it, but the nose does look 'odd' on all the new spits.  i wish i could pinpoint it to help out... but i cant.

the curvature above the spinner looks a little much, and the frankenstein nose looks a bit square..

i dont wish to criticise the HTC team as it looks awesome, but something, very small, looks off to me, am i the only one?
