Just waiting on the skin viewer to fix a couple of line-up problems, and then can complete weathering etc.

Looks good Kev, but is there a problem wrapping around the fuselage with the D-Day stripes?  Or are they meant to be the half stripes since you have none on the upper wing?

They wouldn't have been full fuselage and not on the upper wing.

It also looks like on the otherwise great effort on the 602 Spit XVI that the fuselage band doesn't go all the way around too.

Waiting on the new skin-viewer to line up the stripes etc.
Too much of a pain moving 1 pixel, loading AH2, repeat/rinse until lined up.
Skin-viewer can do it in minutes.

You still got the pics of the pink Spits of 16 Sqn? Not seen any of them with any wing stripes, but had full/half fuselage stripes.

You would see half fuselage stripes without wing stripes.  The half fuselage stripes were the last to be removed some time later then the lower wing stripes were removed.

You wouldn't see full fuselage stripes without full wing stripes.

All the pink Spit images show half fuselage stripes

This is the profile based on the photos.  No wing stripes, half fuselage.

Actual shade of pink is a little ambiguous.

Not "PRU pink", its too dark, "camo tint" pink looks too light and brownish.
Any ideas Dan?

I put an easter egg or three in the cockpit of my 190a5 and a8. The a5 they didn't even bother adding the cockpit. The a8 still being processed but I'm guessing it's the same thing. There's not many places OUTSIDE the plane to put easter eggs that are hidden but visible from certain angles, know what I mean?

It's described as Pale Pink, but since they were being used in the Recce role, I'd believe it was the PRU pink faded out.  The color you have on it looks right to me.

Maybe just lighten it up or wash it out a bit to give it that faded look from operating from rough airfields out in the open in France?

OK, I'll go with current and fade it in places.

Found out something I didn't know -
The upper engine panel: On Castle Bromwich Spits it was in two pieces - as in your profile, join just of prop), Supermarine produced ones were a single panel.
