Really tho what it was was player induced friction, not because of the map but because of game play.

Its no different than when the map warriors go climbing into take town with their Heavy P38's and start captureing the V-Base. They pissed and moaned just like the guys who fly fighters did when the map warriors took over fighter town. And tank town, with trinity has been around for a couple years now with great success.

I dont think you gave donut a fair shot in the MA. This board tells only a small % of what goes on in the MA. And its mainly full of half truths at that.

An image came to mind of those south african chaps who play with the great white sharks by grabbing their noses. Think if you may, HT is the great white shark and your hand is the donut map. If you keep annoying him, that hand is gonna be lost within due coarse. Let it go, just let the subject drop...:D

Or you could see the shark as part of the paying player base. There are still a good number of those who like to just mix it up and as this game gets further from that they begin to feel alienated... just sayin

Strife?  That map brought about one of my most fav. moments in the AH MA.

The Bish had taken all of the "furball" fields, and I was sent a p.m. from a Rook saying that they were going to try and retake fighter town fields, and would the Knights help.

I got many Knight squads involved, we launched a mission, and for the next hour or so the knit's and rooks worked together and took their fields back.

The greatest moment was watching a knight c47 being escorted by rooks, and those rooks helping the knights take back their field.  I don't think there was more than one friendly fire incedent.

If anything, that map created some unity in your player base.

The goal of the map was to separate each aspect of the player base on the map. Furballers had the furball arena with the fields at 5K and boats in the middle to run to. The GV bases around the furball area to act like a natural barrier to prevent attacks from the outside. Finally the Zone system to enhance the strategic aspect of the map, enabling strat players to fucus on wining the map without interacting with the first two. The last aspect of the map is the sea, giving the fleets main focus to engage other fleets and capture key fields behind enemy lines.

Although, we are watching the rift between the player base in regards to the furball, and this was not expected. We assumed some type of maturity would be there in regards to different types of game play styles.

please dont let this game be another cliche'd "victim of its own success." I hope htc remains supportive of all its players and not just the majority.

{Finaly Skuzzy does not make the dissions of what maps we use and do not use. There for skuzzy was not going to boot it. Nor would he have said he would be.}- Hitech......

Please tell Skuzzy not to say anything like that in channel 200 then...You skuzz and the rest of your crew are the man...You have an awesome game going on here.....

I feel as the CEO of a company you really need to work on understanding the needs of the community though HTC....This is like the 5th time im saying this...The intent of my post was to petion like support for DONUT so the HTC crew understood the community did not want to lose this map....DONT accuse me of coming in here and saying the sky is falling...Im not the one who said on channel 200 that theres a chance donut will never see the MA again...

and have a good day

I made a post awhile back making some suggestions on how to keep the rift down on the Donut Map. Several others posted some good suggestions in hopes to make it more user friendly for all the players.

HT is it possible to MOD the map some to make it enjoyable for all. By making it impossible for the FT portion of the map to be captured would end all arguing about the map. I am sure there is an easy solution to making those fields uncapturable.

Please read up on the below Thread for some suggestions.
