Which would be a better candidate for a new BRITISH tank to add to the AH vehicle line-up?

CROMWELL MK. IV CRUISER

or the

CHURCHILL MK. VII

or the

SHERMAN MK. VC FIRELY

You can make an arguement for all three.....

The churchill is a true heavy infantry tank, very heavily armoured but has a weak main gun...would be great to take down airfields towns etc......

The Cromwell propably is a good match up for the PZIV while the firefly is offensively a tiger/panther killer....but is not armoured heavily enough to really engage in a slugfest with either.

why do you think everyone knows what a tiger tank is yet most people only think a firefly is a small bug, and a churchill a hill with a church on?

Our tanks sucked.

If people want a decent allied tank that might be able to stand up to the Tiger, I keep saying they should bring in the Jumbo Sherman. People want a Sherman, lets give them the big one. Who can argue with a 90mm main gun and much thicker armor. I mean ok, it won't be that fast but it would have firepower. Maybe perk it or something too. I don't know, I'm just throwing out an idea here. Thoughts?

i would like the firefly. its fast movin' and has big guns what more can you ask for. i would be datisfied with a sherman, at least it cant take a tiger out from the rear. i have trouble doing that with a t34.

IMO the ground war that really mattered was the Eastern front............

I thinks GV's should focus upon this Theatre of Ops...........

if you want our weak tanks, they should come with a couple of drones.(thats how we used them anyway, in groups using the higher mobility)

As a general rule the sherman jumbo was not upgunned beyond the standard short 75mm. I dont think many had the 76L let alone the 90mm.

The "easy 8" would probably be the best sherman to add....as for the british tanks the cromwell wasnt all that bad and neither was the curchill. The T34 was really the tank that introduced the concept of sloping armour that led directly to the panther. So the allied tanks of the period had similiar structure the the pzIII/IV....which they viewed as the competition.

The real addition would be an Achilles which was an american M10 reequipped with the same 17pder as the firefly. Be the 1st true tank hunter in the game....
