I'm not too sure about your colors... The upper surfaces seem almost black and white. I'd remove the balkenkreuz from the tail, it looks better blank than it does with the wrong thing there (in my opinion).

Also note that the tulip petals don't extend all the way to the end of the yellow. They extend about 2/3 the yellow.

The yellow card only appears on one side of the tail. The other side had an image of a bird over a nest of 3 chics (it's a flight school, right? The teacher and the students, get it?), and can be seen on the skin if you check out the JGr Ost skin in AH offline, or DL the one off of AH-Skins.com.

The yellow nose belongs more on the darker colors [EDIT: In my opinion], let me put a plate up, will edit this post in a few minutes.

EDIT: The colors would fall under either of 2 common schemes. One is more of a greyish scheme and I think it's more of a winter scheme, as we are talking about the Eastern Front. The other is more of a traditional camo pattern with green/grey. I'll just post a quick pic of each.

One interpretation of the lighter scheme

One interpretation of the darker scheme

This is totally opinion -- take it or leave it, but I'm not 100% keen on the rivets. They shout (to me) "worn bare metal" rather than "painted with several coats".

I was trying to make the plane look very weatherd and worn .. like an old work horse that has seen lots of action.

this interpretation is one of weathering

I have a nice clean plane too but its to clean.

we cant have a clean war bird those are for the restoration shop  ;)

Do you use 2 rivet layers? One black, one white? Try reducing the black one and blurring the white with guassian blur, make sure the black is layered on top of the white. Reduce white opacity by eye try it from 5% to 85%, even if you think you know you want it at 50%. (just an example).

EDIT: Save your work under a different name before doing this, like "190a5graff_1" then save it to "190a5graff_2" to try this out. Then you can always go back if you don't like it.

I think with white on top of the black, it's more of a highlight than a depression, it makes the eye see a raised detail, rather than a flush/recessed detail.

EDIT: I mean that as a generalization, not specific to this skin.

Heh, I don't think any WW2 plane had raised rivets. If any did, they were in the minority.

Heh, I only knew the markings info because I'd done a similar skin already, and only knew the rivets were flush because of previous forum posts about rivet detail and so forth. Honestly I don't know everything about most things, but I know a little about most things :)
