Book of WWII Aircraft

Is there a definitive book of WWII aircraft, stats, numbers, variants, etc. I'm looking for one that covers most of the more popular rides we have in some detail. Also, one that's considered accurate. I've seen alot of debate on here about stats.

You'll never find just one book to do that.  All the stats end up being up for debate.

Better to start building a library of your own and using multiple resources to reach your own conclusions.  Way too dangerous to believe any one book

... or you could just "Ask Dan" and save yourself a whole lot of money. He has to have just about every freakin' WWII aircraft book known to man. Word has it that Amazon is casing his house ... just in case.

Sundiver, as many ahve said before -- the closest we ahve to a definitive refernce for US fighters is "America's Hundred Thousand". I'm not aware of similar books for other topics and countries.
