98 Camaro for sale...

53,000 miles.  It's taken out of the garage only during the summer, never when it rains.  Just looked at the for sale sign, it's $11,500 or best offer.  There's no way that thing is landing directly into the hands of some teenage driver though.  Has enough power to blow the fart horns off a ricer.  POS is $500 a month for the payment and insurance so he is trying to get rid of it quick like.  Like I said, e mail me if you are truly interested and I will hook yoiu up with my step dad.

Priced my '98 TransAm recently...

It's worth about 11,000 pounds ($18,000ish) in the UK but in the US even a good condition TA like mine will barely get $8000 in a person to person sale.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

2000 SS for $4,000?

There's gotta be something wrong with it.  Even an SS with body damage should go for at least double that.  The fact that the engine has been messed with is a bad sign when combined with that low of an asking price.

High mileage on a camaro/firebird is actually a good sign :)  It means that there's nothing mechanically wrong with the car.  My TA has over 115,000 miles on it and it has no basic mechanical defects except I trashed the synchro for first gear so sometimes you have to double-clutch to get into first.  A lemon f-body or one that's been abused should go bad well before 100,000 miles so if it's running strong at 110k+ miles, it may easily be good for another 100k.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

I saw this add in portland.craigslist.org today:

http://portland.craigslist.org/car/132064816.html

It's a 96 Trans Am WS6 for $8500. The 80's and 90's Camaros, Trans Ams and Mustangs are all dropping into the gutter value wise. Hell... you could get a 96 vette for about that price.
