98 Camaro for sale...
« on: December 12, 2005, 08:41:09 PM »
1998, Z28 Camaro, looks brand new.  White with black leather interior and T roof.  I don't have all the specs or pictures or anything on my computer.  It's my step dad's but he is trying to sell it.  If you are interested e mail me at nastyclown2001 AT yahoo DOT com.  No one on EBay or here in Colorado wants it....at least not during winter time, for obvious reasons.  Asking price is about $11,500

Unless it's really low mileage I think 11,5 is a bit steep.  Get me some more info on it and maybe I can give you a better estimate of worth.  It might not hurt to list it in the cars for sale forum on CamaroZ28.com.

Oh yes and t3h LS1 pwnz j00000z!!111!!!one!!!1

Just ran some quick numbers:
1998 Z28
75,000 miles
White
loaded with AM/FM/CD Audio system
Chrome Wheels
Compact Disc Changer
Leather Seats
OUTSTANDING condition (Exceptional mechanical, exterior and interior condition; requires no reconditioning)
Private Party worth: $8548

This is probably closer to what he has:
1998 Z28
100,000 miles
White
AM/FM/CD Audio system
Chrome Wheels
Leather Seats
CLEAN condition (Some normal wear but no major mechanical or cosmetic problems; may require limited reconditioning.)
Private Party worth: $6953

Your stepdad will be sitting on that  car quite a long time.

Yup, $11,500 is outrageous for that car.  The Z28's are quite nice, but I wouldn't pay more than $9,000 for a car with 100,000 miles on it, especially with no type of warranty.

That car is at a prime milage for many small mechanical things to go wrong, belts, water pumps, ect...

My offer is $6,000. ;)

Does he sing "Dream The Impossible Dream" a lot? :)

If I was in the market for a Camaro I`d look no further than just down road at a friend of mine`s house. He has a `67 rolling chassis just sitting there looking good. I have a tendency to drool when I see it. He also has a bad to the bone Camaro drag car. It`s black and white, equipped with blue and red light bar with the DPS star and "Texas Narcotics Officer" on the door. On the hood scoop it has "Special Ops". It really turns some heads. :)

go to Kelly Blue Book and enter in the info for the car.

it 'll give you a good ball park figure on it's value for each type of sale (trade-in value, retail price, and private sale price).  they also take your zip-code into account since price can vary widely from state to state.

Yes, in fact, he does.  He was thinking our house would be sold already.  We put it up for sale in September.  Step dad=optimist mom=realist.  Besides you guys know too much about cars to buy it for $11,500;)   Where are all the suckers?

put a 'for sale' sign on it near the local highschool.  preferably somewhere that it can be seen during football practice.  the seasons about done, maybe the father of some kid who just got his letter will buy it for him.

Capt. Apathy just hit in on the head.  You need to advertise this during a football game...

Just curious, but what kind of house, where is it and what are you listing it for?

It's 7 years old.  These things are so bad in the snow that most people park them in the winter.  11k is a pipedream though, although if it was stored winters it wold probably be in the low mileage range and would probably be worth around 9k. (just Guessing)
