I thought we could have a thread to list the abreviations used in aces high and on this board. good reference for confused noobs.

I'll start but I'm gunna need help to get them all down.



Aces High Lingo



AFK - away from keyboard/smoking/beer run

HO - Head on [attack/shot from a nose to nose merge]

GF - good fight/great fight/good fun

- Salute/good fight

- finger/bad fight/I lost

FH - fighter hanger

VH - vehical hanger

BH - bomber hanger

CV - aircraft carrier

PW - pilot wound

BO - blacked out

brb - be right back/bath room break

LOL - i am amused

ROFL - that is more than mildly amusing

RoflMfao! - i find this very amusing, touching on funny.

zOmFgROFlmfao!!1@ - good one, hahaha.

Quah - said to bring chi-like bruce lee super powers to the shouter, although sources are questionable..

PWN - to hurt or vanquish in a humiliating fashion

OWNED - to be; possesed by crapness, have no control over the fight, laughed at lightly.

BnZ - Boring and Snoring

TnB - Turning and burning

Furball - mass of TnB'ers making love.

Vulched - to be; shot while taking off, a very easy kill.

Cherry Picked - to be; shot off the tail of another enemy, killed by an unseen enemy, a very easy kill.

VOX - radio

E - energy

HTC - the boss men

Neutered (Term I coined which seems to be gaining in popularity) Typically applies to Flackpanzers and M16s meaning their main AA guns have been disabled

dragged - to be;   to let oneself be dragged or lead by the enemy on to be killed by another in a set up. (see - cherry picked)



BBs - small calibre machine gun ammo


taters - 30mm cannon rounds


TT - tank town

FT - fighter town

goon - C47 with paratroops

seal pup (baby seal) - clueless fighter pilots

"fighter coming in high" - "fighter coming in above me"

"fighter coming in low" - "my kill"

"im extending" - "im scared of you"

"you {insert insult}" - "you're better than me and it makes me mad"

"that goon is mine" - "please god let me get one kill today"
