Ok a scenario..
As I'm sure all you hotshot pilots know that any aircraft above, say 5000 ft ASL on a day 32 deg C, cannot take off from that runway, ...any plane.
So say this dude is at an alt that he's near limits, but it's cloudy and 10 degrees cooler. The ol boy wastes too much time, the sun comes out, changes the temperature and due to his standing alt, the pilot knows he's in trouble.
But he's doin this for a favour for an old friend , who's dad turned 100. The pilot knows he's already in watermelon for landin in an un authorized area, and now the flight conditions have made it worse. He stays down , loses his job for illegal use of the chopper, or tries to cut his losses and beat it.
Voila, accident. No surprise. Next to underestimating weather conditions, the most prominant reason for aviation accidents is peer pressure.....nothin new...nothin stupid...just a series of conditions proving once again human falicies.
