Templates for new 109E/G models

Does anyone have them? I can't find the post where we discussed them, must have been further back than I thought they were.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Why don't you just make your own?  Seriously, that's where most of the fun is.  It's like building a model.  Painting's just the finishing touch.

Painting, yes. Hours and hours of rivets, no.

I've got a damn good (IMO) 109E. I can toss together a template (outlines panel lines and rivets). TK has a good 109F (and a G2 also I hear) that I might be able to send you as well (he sent it to me but he's on dial up, it takes him a long time to send things).

e-mail me if interested, so I can just hit "reply" and attach the files.

EDIT: You asked about E/G, I don't have any G ones, just the E and F.

Hours of rivets? If you use Photoshop; or Gimp; or PSP its just a matter of 'Paths' and 'Brush' presets. It takes no longer to do rivets then drawing the lines. I have a template done for each 109 and 190A/Fs... I will work onthe D-9 once I get through reading my newest book:

Focke-Wolf 190D-9 Camouflage and Markings

I am working on this F-8 right now (1./SG5 Hartmut Gettwart Schwarze 10)

Quick SS to see rivets:

The hardest part of the 'skin' is the research. But then again a lot of folks are just pulling profiles from the web. Most of the LW skins I looked at ingame already the skinner just traced over the default lines and rivets. If you
go that route all you need to do is 'paint by numbers' for the camo and set up some brush presets for your lines and rivets.

The presets I use for the 109s are 1 pixel rivets with 4 pixel gap, on the FW I use 1 and 2. For the FW just set the your pencil to a 1 rivet line then set spacing to 350. This will give you 1/2. Use 650  spacing for the 109s and this will give you 1/4.

I have a series of line drawings (109s / 190s) and try to re-create then accurately on the skin as much as possible. When doing this I just use 'Paths' (Photoshop).

Here's a link to a tutorial:

Making Rivets

There's nothing 'hard' about it, in the end its more about artist expression then anything else. As such it's best (IMHO) that the each skinner develop his unique style (to include lines and rivets). If everyone uses the same template they all end up a like.

Now I got go puke, darn flue...

Sorry to hear your sick..

Anyways rivets and panel lines do take along time. Ask Fester he makes his *HISTORICAL* Means he looks at pics to do his..

Rivets and panel lines make the skins if the panel lines and rivets suck the skin sucks.

I disagree. You have to *tweak* your own panels and rivets, but if they already exist use what you have. Set them to whatever values you like, play with them adjust them change them, but already having them to start with saves you a lot of time.
