Oh and FWIW there are people all over CA living in million dollar homes. Million dollar homes are a dime a dozen.(<-- that was a joke too. I'll try to point them out from now on.)

Well, I used to think offering a college course in video game competition was silly too. Then I noticed how much coin these idiots in Korea are hauling down playing Star Craft.

Look hard enough and you'll find stupid courses on all sorts of subjects. It's not a liberal issue...unless of course you are in the mood to bait people;).

So most professors are liberal. What does that tell us? Do you have conclusions to draw upon or are you just throwing seeds on the dirt to see the crows pick them up?

Here's a theory..

1. Most professors have doctorates.
2. Doctorates are difficult to attain and require hard work and dedication.
3. Doctorates require intelligence as well.
4. There are 2 basic things you can do with a doctorate, teach or go into business.
5. Liberals tend to find teaching more rewarding, conservatives tend to find business more rewarding.
6. So what?

Got to be honest here and say I don't consider the designation of "Liberal" as being evil. That word has been bastardized by political opportunists looking for a handy target and scapegoat.

It is certainly true that in Canada and Europe we view the term "Liberal" in a much different way then many people in the US do now.
 
As for colleges being liberal I'm not surprised and this is not news...let me loosely quote Churchill:

"If you are not a liberal when you are young than you have no heart. If you are not a conservative when you are old than you have no brain."

It's not new and it's not a bad thing. People grow and their opinions evolve. What makes democracies great is the differing views which exist in them and the compromises they find between them. You can't have a true democracy when only one extreme flourishes...be it right or left wing.

MT... what it says to me is that most professors are afraid to interact with people and to compete on an even basis and choose to hide in a fairy tale land of acadamia surrounding themselves with like minded and useless peers.

"hard work" is a relative term.  you will find no calouses on the lilly white hands of these acadamians.
