No no no

The Americans think:  "Let's see, the Euros like this, so we can use it to lighten their wallets!"

I don't know anybody who watches that show.  I think it's mostly teenagers and very lonely men looking for stimulation.

hehe santa 13 jumps ? thought u already have ur licence. i made 17 jumps now the last 3 weeks, but no stinkin static line! AFF rules ! (only static line i have is reserve static line, what give a little extra safety). i did my altitude reduction jumps last saturday outta a cessna 172 (not sure) in 1500m and the 2nd outta a skyvan 1200m. that kicks but its annoying to pack ur chute 40mins to have 10 seconds of free fall.

btw my little sister did her 1st ballon jump outta 1500, she said thats kinda like jumping outta a window (no relative wind). she got the jump for free.... i h8 her, maybe i also should color my hair blonde.

Becks, we only do static line for the first 6 jumps, then we freefall.

No stinking instructor to help you out.

Bad weather caused me to only do 13 jumps, and it ain't looking good for the weekend either  .

Summer in DK/Sweden has been awful.

hi all:

static line, no thank you.
my first four jumps where IAD, (instructor assisted deployment)the next 180 or so where free fall.
Santa, dont worry about the storys you will hear, just keep doing what you enjoy doing.
and Santa, where do you live, if you are close to montana, you have to go there for the Aug long weekend, great event then.
drop zone is called lost praries, and it is a blast, ive been twice.

and wait till you start doing relative work, ohhh the fun you are in for, heres a little tip for some crazy fun, when you are doing RW, and the fomation zoo's, hold on to somebody or two if you can, ride it down a couple thousand feet, what a hoot. just make sure to know your alt so you can break off in time and track for distance.

and one more thing, dont talk about skydiving when im on line to much, i will want to run out, buy new gear and start up again. and at about $5000 US last i heard, i dont know if i can afford it again.

blue skies

I climbed 8 times on the wheel step from a cessna., and jumped off i remember my first jump i must have blackout for 3 sec the jumps after it i enjoyed watching the cessna.

8 jumps static line very sissy maybe but i like flying better. Btw i made those jumps when i was in the army for only 150 dollar
square chute. I rather invest my money in gliding maybe gonna do that someday.

when my brother lived near the airfield there was a accident once
i skydiver fell in his backyard making a hole in his yard a bout 40 centimetres deep
a very ugly sight. And damn she was a women too

Most accident happen with the more proffesional skydivers who forget sometimes pulling the cord. Or they going too far

anyway parachuting is a nice experience also in AH i open always very low mostly having a openchute for about 5 sec before a land

I use to be a member of the US Air National Gaurd (Air Force Reserves for you Non-US people).

My unit flew C-130's, plus I was a qualified parachute rigger and air drop inspector.

So lets just say I have spent plenty of time watching "Airborne" exercises. Including the results of a "malfunction" of a two thousand pound load when its G11 parachute release failed in the aircraft. (can you say six foot deep crater?)

And we have a saying.....

On a good day, only two things fall out of the sky.

hehehe wolf

I live in Denmark, so a wee bit far from a Montana dz.

Unless I move, and I gotta finish my education (if I can) first  .

Skydiving kicks butt. The ride up, however, scares me.

hi all:

well to start with Bug, I am not saying static line is sissy jumping, just that I would not want use a static line.
and as for accidents, yes, most fo them are experanced jumpers, but it is not that they forget to open there chute.

now Ozark, I just have a couple questons in regards to your story.

first: what did the jumper get hung up on on the underside of a cessna 182, I have jumped cessna's 182 and can'nt think of anything there to get hung up on.

second: you stated the jumper tried to get out of jumpsuit so he could try to remove his boot. well when you put your jumpsuit on, and any jumpsuit I have ever seen has been a one peice suit, you put it on before you put your rig on. so to take the jumpsuit off, or try to, you would have to remove your rig first. now I may be wrong here, but that sounds like a really stupid thing to do well hanging under a plane at 10000 ft. why not just use your hook knife and cut the pant leg, seems like a better and smarter thing to do.

third: you stated the jumper only had minor scrapes and bruise after landing. well if he is hanging under the plane, kinda flopping around a bit I would assume, when the plane landed and slowed down a fast as the pilot could slow the plane down, this jumper would have been dragged for quite some distance before the plane stopped. under a plane no less. I just can'nt see how he would walk away from this.

well it seems to me more of a story then anything else, but maybe you have the news paper artical or maybe a copy of USPA (united states parachute assocalation) or CSPA ( Canadian sports parachute assocalation) that might have an artical on this jump. I am assuming an incident report was filed. and maybe you could either e-mail me a copy of it or let me know what issue I could look it up in. I no longer receive monthly copy's but I do know people that still do.

If you do not know what issue it is in, then maybe the date this jumper got hung up under the plane. then I can try to find it my self as it would only be one or two issues I would have to check.

thanks alot
