Not sure, but I heard Bob Villa will be one of the refs.

A true World Football League would be cool, but America would totally dominate for decades.

Probably not too far from that.

But, think of the Japanese National Football team... A bunch of short dudes up against the likes of our monsters? Not a chance, man.

Think about that one... a bunch of sumo wrestlers on the line. They'd make all the American fat dudes look like little boys :O

You wouldn't want this guy to be a center? :)

We'd eat 'em up though beyond the linemen.

The Sumo wrestlers may be really huge in the circumference department, but they're still pretty short.

It would definitely be interesting seeing a game between the winner of the MLB WS and whatever the Japanese have for a champion, but I dont think it'd be a close game

that being said i'd definitely say europeans got us in football, rugby, and cricket.

You'll get your chance to find out.  MLB players are going to the Olympics, at least thats what I got from the ads they ran on TV this Sunday.  I was initially dead set against it but heck, look what its done for the level of play in Hockey and Basketball.  Bring it on!  If nothing else, at least we KNOW they'll be getting drug tested.  :)

"The average height of a sumo wrestler is 6 feet and the average weight is 326 pounds."

Actually there's already such a league; it's run by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) and is played every fourth year and has more watchers than olympic games.

Participants 2006:

Angola
Argentina
Australia
Brazil
Costa Rica
Côte d'Ivoire
Croatia
Czech Republic
Ecuador
England
France
Germany
Ghana
Iran
Italy
Japan
Korea Republic
Saudia Arabia
Mexico
Nederland
Paraguay
Poland
Portugal
Serbia and Montenegro
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Togo
Trinidad and Tobago
Tunisia
Ukraina
United States

Bad thing for Americans is you're qualifying from same group with Czechs 12.06.2006...

Oh btw... United States has participated in World Cup 8 times and so far best results were getting to semifinals.

That much about domination...

btw No2:
I hope you understand now why it makes people around the globe smile when Americans are talking about their Football World Championship...
