Ball crossed the plane.  He pushed off, although it probably didn't affect the play.

A well-called game.

What you saw on your FE was different then what he saw on his FE. On his box the ball clearly crossed the line and the host saw it as such. Maybe there was a dropped packet or a little lag that caused you to miss what really happened.

It looked like the ball just touched the line on the replay.  Even if you disagree with that, it was most certainly NOT conclusive evidence and therefore not sufficient to overturn the original call by the man on the scene.

Good work by the ref IMHO.  You don't overturn calls unless the evidence is overwhelming.  Too bad he wasn't there when Brady fumbled...

And the Seattle WR did push off.  That's offensive pass interference unless you are blind or can't read the rulebook.

Exactly.  You have to go with the original call on that one.

The refs didn't drop passes at crucial times

The refs didn't make a bad pass at a crucial time

And the refs didn't bite hard on a trick play and get beaten deep

The Steelers made the plays when they needed to be made and the Seahawks didn't. The better team won the game.

I'm a fan of neither team, but watched the game. That push off call was BS, that kind of contact happens every play. I didnt see anything on the replays showing the ball in the endzone, airborne or otherwise. It was close though and the rules being what they are, the ref called it in. Lastly, on the pass that got Seattle to the 1 yard line that was called back due to "holding". That was a terrible call that turned the game in my opinion. I had been hoping to see a good game, but it seemed like the reffing was very one sided. Oh well.

the superbowl is boring.  i watched the first 1/2 hour or so before it sent me off to sleep.

maybe not understanding what the hell was going on, or the constant commercial breaks had something to do with it.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

The commercials are usually the best part of the superbowl!  Perhaps not so much this year.  Ahh, the dotcom boom, I miss your fantastic superbowl commercials...

My buddy was the one called for holding on the pass down to the one yard line for Seattle. I could tell he wasn't happy when they zoomed in on him and he was walking back talking with the ref. BUT they called it and technically it was holding.

The flag on Hassleback for making a tackle after the interception was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

It did not look like the ball crossed the line IMHO.

The ball didn't cross the line, but when he dove and was in the air, the tip of the ball was on top of the goal line from what I saw.
