Can't ****** BELIEVE this...

I am over it.  I was actually kinda surprised that the most common response was "haha, glad you got ripped off" though.

I had thought better of most of the people here, live and learn I guess.

If you include me in that category I'd sure like you to post where in my post I said that. Quote me, please.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Yea, I include you in that category.

No need to be coy now Mav, it looked to me like you scored a lot of points there.  I can't really remember if you were leading the pigpile or if you came in with the second wave, but either way, stand up and be proud.

I know for my part, I stand by everything I said, there is no need for you to pretend like you don't.

So...umm...what did you do with the bank statements and credit card statements when you got them?

You'll be well on your way to a happier, more productive life once you realise apathy and carelessness (not Napster or your washing machine) are the real bad guys. People here are trying to show you where you went wrong (yes, YOU) but you're not listening. It's an issue of accepting responsibility.

1. You signed a service agreement without reading it because you were careless.

2. Napster charged your account for 3 years without your knowledge because you were apathetic.

3. You're blaming Napster and the people in this thread because you're irresponsible.

Man up and admit your failure, but learn from it and use it as a tool to make yourself better.

(Insert Golfer humor)
I dunno about you guys but my credit card limit is so low that an identity thief would be so mad he'd come back to return it just to yell at me.

On the other hand I check my monthly statements from my bank, credit union and credit card too.  Know what...I signed up for a "free" check of my credit score when I bought my dell laptop a couple years ago and low and behold...it showed up as a $75 fee.  Good looking out you credit nazis.

There is also the option of online banking.  With my credit union I can see instantly the status of my checking, savings and credit card accounts.  I can make payments in any amount (must keep a whopping $5 in savings) to the credit card or transfer at my own free...and costless...will between accounts.  Instantly have funds available from deposited checks (no waiting until Tuesday to spend the cash from the check I got on Friday type stuff)

Anyways...Hope you learned Urchin.  I browsed through the first page and didn't read too much.  Hopefully they took it easy on ya but I'm sure you were laughed and pointed at.  Learn from it, don't do it again.

And when you buy something at best buy...make sure you cancel that free subscription to Sports Illustrated or you'll be billed for a year.  When you go to the golf show...make sure you cancel the free trail subscription to golf magazine.  When you go to the boobie bar...oh wait.  nevermind.
