Cartoons as in seen on TV or those in paper? Either way:
On paper:
Calvin and Hobbes
Sluggy Freelance (
www.sluggy.com)
Life on Forbez! (
www.forbez.com)
Groo the Wanderer
Asterix
Dilbert
ANY AND ALL MANGA!
On tv:
Rocco's Modern Life (nickelodeon)
Roadrunner
ANY and ALL ANIME!
Jackie Chan Adventures (its so hilarious!)
Batman Beyond (aint so bad)
Interesting thing to note is that US made cartoons are finally starting to get a grasp on "generational" storylines, something which makes many of the anime/manga's a success. Now if they would only start with character development/change over the storyline, they may get up to speed. I hope they dont though, Japanese are so much better at making good stories
