Possible Terrorist Targets?

Heh, there's just something.... mental.... about guys like you and the need to tuck extremism under your chin like some kind of kiddy blanket.

You suckle at the tit of extremism.

According to you, terrorism either doesn't exist, or it does exist and we're all buttered.

Extreme.

Hows about you grow a little perspective?

Hows about you recognize that terrorism does in fact exist, but can be fought in, I don't know, a million different ways other than the ways that this assclown preznit has decided to wage it?

And while you're at it, accept that you, personally, will never be effected by terrorism.

So quit whimpering for chrissakes. It makes for an akward situation and I get weirded out.

Last time I had to take off my shoes to fly commercially I was personally effected by terrorism.

Oh how terrible.

For some?

A nuissance.

For folks around here? A patriotic duty and, dammit an act of bravery in times of war.

I take my hat off for all the patriot shoe removers. Sure. it's painful, but it is but one essential battle in the larger war against terrorism.

Shoe removers - God bless you.

You need to get back on your meds and calm down Nash, I was just pointing out that effects of terrorism ripple through society in many ways.

It doesn't bother me that I have to take my shoes off to get through security. Hasn't bothered me in the numerous times I've flown since 2001.

What's the problem, again?

It wasn't taking off the shoes that bothered me, it was setting off the bio-chem sensors.

BS Holden.

"I was just pointing out that ..."

You never.... ever.... EVER.... fail to do this particular brand of "pointing out" when it comes to any attack on your government.

Never.

It's like Dennis Miller. I kinda chuckle then scratch my head and say "wtf?"

You said, (while not at me personally) " And while you're at it, accept that you, personally, will never be effected by terrorism."

I showed you a way (however trivial) that I (and probably you as well) was effected.  If I were someone working for Homeland Security, my livelihood would have been changed.  If I were in the military or related to or friends with anyone in the military, certainly my life has been changed.

The fact that I am posting in this thread is an effect of terror.

Please show me how I defended my government by pointing out that I had to take off my shoes last time I flew commercial.

Never effected by terrorism huh?

Just goes to show how irrelevant and ignorant you really are Nash.

I've allready been effected by it.  On Nov 15th 2001 I was recalled back to active duty to support Operation enduring freedom.  I missed the birth of my son because of that.  Most level headed people wouldn't call that a nuissance, it's called a sacrifice.  One that I'm not happy with but oh well, that's the way the green weenie works.

Don't talk to me about it not effecting me.  You say I sit safely behind my keyboard with nothing to worry about but the truth is you are describing yourself.....not me.  I serve in the military and could go to a war zone tomorrow if needed.

I've been saying that the big patriot defenders here are nothing more than girls, and you come at me with:

"Meh.... well sometimes I have to take off my shoes meh."

Good - thanks for pointing that out. Yes, folks have to take off their shoes.

I'm not sure why it needed to be said... but you have your motives.

What could you have said instead? Oh, I don't know.... about a hundred thousand million things. Instead? You you tell me that terrorism has indeed touched you. I'm so sorry. My heart breaks into tiny pieces at the thought of you having to take off your shoes.
