Friendly bombs no but NME bombs yes. I was on one day when Thndregg was fighting some red guy or other and they both went into the vertical, Thndr on his tail when the con let a bomb go to help his climb and it fell right back into Thndr (BOOM)

interesting thread, I wonder if your in say an IL2 and you rope someone in the verticle with the IL2 on top, I wonder how hard it would be to release a bomb and have it hit the enemy on your 6... especially if you let them get real close, maybe go in the vert and cut throttle... I'm gonna have to try that.... I also wonder if the plane would have to be at least D400 off of you so the bomb would arm, just like normal dive bombing... could be a new ACM LOL

i messed around in the DA late last night tryin to hit an enemy in the vert as per my previous post, i couldn't ever make it happen, i tried dropping when the enemy was at D400, D600, and D800 off my 6 and couldn't get it to work.... maybe someone else will have better luck

I was killed once by bombs in AH1. Flying along at about 4K and climbing toward an enemy. He was still way up there above me and suddenly I found myself back in the tower with him getting a kill credit. I asked him and he said that he’d intentionally dropped bombs on me. Up until that point I hadn’t realize one could get that lucky or that the bombs would/could strike an aircraft in flight and do damage.

Might be different in AH2, but that’s how it worked in AH1.
