OK but why?  Why ask the question?  You still get the kill so how does it really effect you?  His score wont be effecetd as match? :confused:

It would afect the score of bailing pilot , since is not the same having 20 bailouts and no deats (even if he bails at altitudes that no pilot could survive a bailout), or 10 bailouts and 10 deaths.

There is already a timer for the chute to open. If you hit the ground during that time you die. As MA is now, you don't die if you just click tower.

I bail when my tail has been shot off and I'm fluttering. It's quicker to bail and either free fall or hit .ef and get back into tower than to flutter down for 2-3 mins.

I bail out if my plane is crippled and going down.  I also try to make it back to base and to land after I'm out of ammo or if I've just enough fuel to make it back.  The reason isn't score (which isn't large for anyone like me, anyway, who doesn't fly that often), but to work in a small extra amount of realism.  For this reason, I'd like it if the bailing process were more realistic (harder, such as requriring the opening of canopy and unbuckling; and lower probability of it being survivable, such as reducing probability of living through it the faster you are going).  However, I agree that this sort of request would add to the game only for a small minority of players and that there are many higher-priority features that should take precedence.

The only real benefit, if you can call it that, to a complicated bail-out routine that requires you to float to the ground, is more lil meatbombs for the rest of us to shoot, causing even those who bailed out to die senseless, violent deaths, utterly defeating the purpose of bailing out in the first place.

Times i bail out:

1)when falling from above 10k (saves time bailing and .ef)

2)when tail get shot off and fluttering down slowly. (once again, to save time not score.)

3) when im irectly over an enemy base/our own maproom for the sake of some .45 fun.

and most importantly;

4) In a furball when someone has shot off a wing or tail and I'm sitting there floating down slowly between enemy planes.

I refuse to let some tard STEAL THE KILL from the one who shot me down.

bail out, give the rightfull killer the kill, tower faster, back to the action faster.

Really simple fix.   100 perkies award for killing a chute.

I'm sure bailing would become less atractive :D

exactly....I HATE being stuck nose high, no tail and just kiting down from 10k.  Hit bail, .ef, back in the tower in no time standing in line for the next plane I can get shot out from under me (those guys in charge of giving out new planes are sooooooooooo gullible).  :)
