Bailing out

I think the bailing procedures need a fix in MA. It is too easy to survive bailing at five meters as it is now. Way  to gamey. You can bail from a spiraling plane with no wings doing 500 mph at 10 ft and still survive if you click tower fast enough. This is annoying for me.
I know, the way it was in AH1 and how is in A vs A is annoying too sometimes. Like if you bail at high alt and open the chute. You'll have to wait so long until you are able to fly again.

Don't you think would be a good idea to force the bailing pilot execute some required steps of the bailing procedures? For example. Force the pilot to bail out, open the chute, then block the option to click tower for like five seconds, to allow the chute to slow the pilot down to a speed that is acceptable for landing. After the chute is slow, the pilot can exit flight, so he doesn't have to hang in the chute for ten minutes.:D

This would be a middle solution between the full bailing sequence (AH1 and AvsA) and the way to easy MA procedures.

Perhaps force the pilot to open the cockpit hood first, then bail out... the faster you are, the slower it opens...?

Question Jaws - what added value would it have other than forcing HTC to code differently? Would it really change how we play our game?

The bigger question is who actually bails out of their plane?  Not enough to make any change to the bail model as it is.

However, I would love any change that would increase the number of people bailing out.  After I shoot some poor sap down, I like nothing better than to gun him in his chute.

I quite often bail but I still don't know what the advantage to bailing is, or riding it to the dirt??

Bailing is for scorepotatos ... but like Mathman ... never met a chute that I did shoot.

It would introduce some altitude limit on bailing. You won't be able to bail at five feet of the ground and survive.

People bail but they click "tower" before even the chute opens. You can do that in MA.

Don't tell me you wouldn't want to see X-marine hanging in a chute in front of your cannons.:t

I don't think bailing affects my score much, but I do it often, if I'm not popped instantly. Why? Why not? Who wants to ride it into the ground?

Hell it's only a game, and I think it's fun to bail from a plane that's going down.

I bail most times ... simply for the dream that someday I will shoot a plane from the sky with my trusty 45.  (have pinged a couple of aircraft that flew to close ... but mostly just lead flying off into space :aok )
