Just throwing out some ideas now. I think its a good idea because it might help to get some more films out from other people. Getting idea's, and good ones, for a film is the most difficult part of making a film.

A nicely done, historical multi-paced/tempo'd 8th airforce film. To be done right I think would be a huge project.

A GV film. Beleive it or not... I think a GV film, if done right would be very cool. The only problem, to be done "right" imho, it should be axis vs allied. The skins on the GV's, also the inside skins, are very nice looking. which would make for a sweet looking film. Add to this air support from somthing like IL2's or P47's... To bring more dimension to the film.

Also more fast paced "fight films", which happen to be my favorite. Quick shots, good angles, trackIR would be a huge pluss. The shots in the film should be no longer than 10-15 seconds max to keep the pace of the film fast.

I would love to do more films for AH, I dont consider myself a film "expert" at all. I just do them because they're fun and I enjoy seeing how bad mine look in the end. I dont think I will do another one for AH until we get a film viewer that works well for making movies.

lol, what a load of BS morph. your films are the best around lol.

great idea's though. i like making films, and hopefully people like watching them, so with a little practise and stuff, maybe i might start putting some really nice ones out?

i just need more practise i guess. if you want to make an 8th AF film, we could do it together. would be a lot of fun methinks

8th air force film, to be done the way I want to do it, would require AI along with several players "conducting" an a planned set of events.

It could be done with players only, but to do it right, and have it look "big", it needs a ton of air craft in it. Flying in formation... And also we need a new film viewer.

I have to get my head out of lock-on before I can think about making anymore films for AH anyway. The way that film viewer works, its' so simple to get really nice shots and angles on planes.

The film viewer we have now is fine. It does the job it was made to do. Show a flight, in detail from all aspects. But its far too restricted when compared to other film viewers in regards to movie making.

yep, im in agreement there. but im sure if we asked in the general forum if people wanted a starring role, they'd be happy to fly a set of buffs

anyways, you're doing good in lockon. i have to get it some time. i have lomac, but never got used to the controls

Morph, have you seen Stalin's Fourt-scenario ad films? There is GV's and IL-2's and Stukas.

your films are NOT bad at all man. don't even think that way.

I agree with the more "large scale" type films. I've had a couple of ideas for a LONG time for AH, but haven't worked on them because of the number of people it would require. If you need a pilot Morph, let me know. My time's kinda tight, but if I can make it, I'd be more than happy to help you =)

ditto. perhaps we should organise this some time. perhaps they could set up an event in the SEA, and we could film it all, put together an epic AH film lol. we eould need a lot of guys, but im sure people would love to take part

I never said they were bad, but there is only so far you can go with the film viewer. When the little tricks and idea's on how to get something out of the film viewer run out, its hard to find something to bring the next film to another level. So alot of films, not just mine, become very similar to one another.... ie. standard chase shots, ect.

yup, very true. the film viewer is so dated. i would go as far as saying it needs to be done before CT! if HT wants a good ad after he releases CT, a new film viewer will be needed. i would like to think it wouldnt take a lot of coding, but i think that may not be the case

nevertheless, that film viewer is very dated, certainly needs a rework

I am flying in this scenario so I will be filming the entire thing as well as havig some other guys filming so I get stuff from every direction.

It is hard getting good GV footage because spawn-camping only goes so far, and if your in TT you are getting blasted pretty quick anyways. I just need to get more footage that is decent. Half the time you have slow painfull kills and the other half you don't even get to see an explosion, the guy just disapears! POOF!!

I enjoy making films, just have to find time to make another one...
