Man, I don't even know where to start.........
The clip was almost funny, til you realize this little runt is not gonna change, not til life smacks him hard in the face. And if what I saw is typical for his "mom" and her behavior, even that won't work. She will be hysterical with the need to keep him from learning anything.
First, as a parent, he would have been told to get off the XBox ONE time, then I would have walked over and hit the power button myself. No arguing, no yelling at him, no bargaining.
Second, he would have been given about 15 seconds to make up his mind whether he wanted to retain the game console for future use, or have me take it and lock it up for a minimum of two weeks.
I don't tolerate backtalk from my son, never have, never will. I don't yell at him like she did either. Sadly, what we all witnessed is/was the result of his upbringing.....you can bet your butt he is talked to that way, and it is a learned behavior.
When I first watched the clip, I was too busy trying to sort out everything that was going on........second and third times, I turned off the monitor and just listened, and got way more out of it. Seeing the stuff happening on the screen can be distracting.
Yeah, his little butt would be the focal point of an attitude adjustment. If he were lucky, my handprints would be fading when or IF he made it to graduation from high school.
I see one of my son's friends act that way alot, and his parents give in and cater to him, just like the mom in the clip. Makes me sick, but the root of his problem, much like our little online performer, is his parents. He is just a result of their lack of parenting skills and a fundamental lack of respect for anyone other than himself........
