Sunday I was in a Spit 5 near A21-22.  I had 3 la7's, 1 La5, 2 Spit's and a 190D all trying to get me.  Crambo and FryLock were in the vicinity of this.  ONLY the La5 managed a 1/2 arsed Cherry pick attempt.  I jockeyed the throttle and started juking, looping and turning.   On the last loop, the La5 hit a tree (I had already pinged him) as did the Dora (Pinged him as well).  I looked around, they all had gone away.  I followed one of the La7's, dispatched him, I had to then RTB for fuel as the "furball portion" lasted almost 2 minutes.

seems my favorite things in the world are flaps and jugs......(surely like most men)...but im prone to flying uber cannon dweeb rides, spitfires, German rides, light bombers, and even the lgay7 whenever the situation has demanded this tour. Our squad's main enjoyable feature imo is that we certainly don't limit ourselves to just flying the best fighter plane ever developed exclusively.

You don't do very well against Spitfires.

akak - Iv'e killed just about double than have killed me, and the majority of them have been in the D-40. Its not my fault that the MA is rammed with them. You dont do too well against spit either i seem to recall   one of them only time you've been low enough to fight me i was in the old spitfire mkV.  dont see much of you these days.

I'm sure if you look at my meager score, you'll see at least a 3 to 1 ratio against Spitfires this tour and probably at least a 5 or 6 to 1 throughout my time in AH.  All done in the P-38.  So I state my point again, you don't seem to do very well against Spitfires.

difference is i'll be flying for fun, not worrying about score, and furballing against these spits, they're bound to get me alot.
