Horsepucky. A very very small percentage of the American Public ventures out in day to day life packing a firearm. I'd venture to guess less than half of one percent. The exceeding majority of those that DO venture out armed don't do so because they HAVE to, they do because they WANT to.

In this posting situation you've just taken a step beyond simple reason and common sense and painted with an incredibly wide brush in one sentance the implication that everybody in this country is walking around at extreme risk WITH or WITHOUT a gun and THAT has just pegged my Bull**** Meter.

No score, Curvie.

They WANT to?

Why?  To feel tough?

It's funny because my 4 year old answers many questions asked of him with "I Like to" when he is asked "Why" he did/does something.  That is pretty much like your response.  I wonder if you pout like him.

Sorry if my response pegged your meter....mine was pegged twice in this thread.  One with your nazi analogy and the other with your implication that we will run out of food and fuel here and that THEN I will be sorry.

ROFLMAO!!!!

I used the Dennys example because there have been 3 shootings at 3 Dennys in Southern California in the past few days.  Not sure why...I think they serve an awesome breakfast at a great price.

Curvie, I can't get through to yah.. I've never insulted your intelligence to my knowledge; however, since you can't or won't on this subject use reason then I'm forced to make the assumption that you are either ignorant or a very prejudiced person with regards to americans and their gun rights.

Item.. we saw as recently as katrina what happens to 'law and order' when the food and fuel chain is disrupted. That's TRUTH. Item.. the right to keep and bear arms is a right here still, and your disdain for the practice does not in the least concern me.. contrary to your analogy, I do not 'pout'.

Denny's and shootings are not linked in any place short of your mind; but then again; your impressions of our day to day lives are no doubt as inaccurate as ours are of yours. I have to assume that if you had a brain, and your neighorhood denny's was a hang out for armed gangbangers you'd probably elect to at least change you eat-out menu if not move the hell outta that neighborhood entirely. That's IF you had a brain.

Since there is no cure for prejudice or stupidity short of death, I'll leave yer commentary alone from now on; now knowing full well that prejudice seems to color your responses to gunowners here on these boards.

Oh, how clever, it was an object lesson all along then eh.

I can't believe that you think "Because I like too."  isn't a great reason to do tons of things.  Perhaps your kid says that because he doesn't know how better to express himself, doesn't mean it isn't a valid reason.

Why do or did you play Aces High?  Why parasail, why golf, why tons of things.

At least the Yanks have a choice in the matter.  You don't like the idea of carrying guns, well your and my governments don't give a damn if we do or don't.

Like that guy said, "Best lie back and enjoy it, it's going to happen anyway.".
