Not sure if its the new game or not this has happened to me twice know 1st time i double klicked a base to go to and my whole pc locked up 2nd time i went to hanger and same thing had to reboot entire system i dont think its my system works fine in every other area other than aces high,question is does anyone else have this issue??? thanks ahead of time

Something doesn't seem right, I'll be on a bandits six less than 800yds then they disappear and then I start getting check6 calls??? So, IN LESS THAN A SECOND the same bandit I am about to fill with lead flies behind me and fills me with lead...? Just yesterday I had a bandit @ 300yds I pull the trigger he disappears and I find him 1.5K away diving on someone else?? Once or even twice I can write it off to internet lag time or basic computer bull sh-t but this has happened alot in the last few days.
 
The planes handling is rather unpredictable too. I'm not a great pilot but I'm not THAT bad either. In the last 3 days I have had 1 kill.... Everyone has slumps but.... Just give a guy a fighting chance.

I too have been locking up with the new version. These locks last from 2 seconds to 10 or so. By that time I'm in the ground, or in flames. This did not occur before I downloaded the new AH.

No problems like any of these.  Actually, I have no problems whatsoever with the new version.

Perhaps you need to update vid card drivers? Direct X?

New driver in a PCI Express with 256 Meg. I am using direct X 9.

I remember having those kinds of screen freezes a year or so ago, and I experienced a few mini freezes like that (stuttering) when I got my new system a few months back. The solution for me, both times, was to select the sound tab in DirectX and reduce the sound acceleration slider to at least 75%.

Lots of system RAM helps also: AH will take up to 1.2 gigs of RAM on my 2 Gig system if I use the high res pack, while using only about 28 megs of my 256 meg vid. card. Lots of system RAM makes for smoother performance of the game.

Hope this helps. Screen freezes are really annoying.

I had a lockup  < screen freeze > last night that lasted about 15 seconds. Fortunatly I was at 13k. By the time it unlocked I was at 8k pointed straight down. This is the first lockup I've had in a year or so and the first one that unlocked. No further problems throughout the evening. Happened about 6:45pm Pacific time.

Had first lock up this morning , white screen , then error report form ....
 AcesHigh Game crash,  was during new screen stutters & jerking stall limiter ..... in a low slow turn fight , I was useing a Spit 16 ....

 Also have not been able to make a B 26 kill,  in P51 D ,  when shooting B 26's ,
 guns in 51 are set at 300 , emptied a full clip in B 26 , start shooting at 400 and continue to a close 200, see hits all over the bommer ...
 B 26 Bommers just fly away ...... This has happened 3 times since new patch .

Had the white screen twice, but that was a week before the new update.  One thing I notice after the new update is that if you set your FPS to anything other than unlimited, the warping is amaizing.

White screen came after I went from MA to DA and back to MA.  I think both times I clicked on a field before everything had been loaded.

eh,i had to redo my hd lastg month i remember doing that a long time ago ill try it again,heres a little more info  

i think its possibly my cpu some kind of fan kicks on and i get a little stutter here and there but when it locks up i get no white or blue screen i just have kinda like a snap shot of whatever im doing at the time of the lock up could this be my video card fan and or power supply??

I too have had a couple lockups and some stuttering. It definetly isnt my system.

tatertot I saw you up tonight for a long time knocking us all down in your B26s and 190s: so I presume  the stuttering and freezes have been fixed ?

There are enough similar complaints about the new version of AH2 that maybe it is the game after all. However, I played for 3 hours tonight without a hiccup. Same thing the night before. It gets curiouser and curiouser.

Specs:

Aopen AMD 64 4000+ nVidia nForce4 Motherboard PCIe
2 Gigs RAM
Aopen Aeolus (nVidia GT 6800OC) vid card with 256 MB RAM
Win XP Pro 64-bit

FR 60 - 100, with texture size 1024 using hi res pack.

Been getting the temporary freezes too, it's "never" happened before in the 7 or 8 months I've been around AH :(

I get one lockup per logon, only when I hit the vox key for the first time.  Freezes for about 8-12 seconds, then smooth sailing from then on.

No exceptions, though...each and every logon, once only.

Go figure.
