screen freezes and lost connections
« on: March 28, 2006, 03:38:05 PM »
Between these two the AH experience is frustation.  Seems that when there are more than a very few planes up the screen keeps freezing and delaying packets.  Whats the deal?

A guess, but it sounds like you are running out of resources, which causes swapping to occur, thus the screen pauses.

What is your video settings like in the game?
How much system RAM does your computer have?
What type/brand of video card and how much RAM does it have?
What kind of sound card do you have?

you need much more memory, or have to run at reduced graphic settings big time.

Aces High recommends a MINIUM of 256MB memory, thats for running at the lowest common settings.

Memory is definately going to be a big problem.  Even with the game using 128 size textures you may still have resource problems.

Thanks for the help on the program.  I upgraded RAM from 128mb to 320 mb and the game works a lot smoother.  Again thanks.
