There's nothing in the world like going for a drive at dusk, hearing my Jeep's I-6 rumble to life and then settle into an idle as Bob Seger's "Roll Me Away" begins to groove out of the speakers.

All the ones listed here have several songs I like, these are the best DRIVING songs I can think of right now.

Molly Hatchet - Flirtin with Disaster

Montgomery Gentry - Hillbilly shoes, Hell Yeah

Allman Brothers - Ramblin Man

AC/DC - Dirty Deeds

Queen - Another one bites the dust

.38 Special - Just about anything really, but especially (for driving) Rockin into the Night, Caught up in  You, Wild Eyed Southern Boys ...... all I can think of ATM.

ZZ Top - Already mentioned, pretty much all of it is good driving music.

CDB - Uneasy Rider (either version), Still in Saigon, Long Haired Country Boy, Stroker Ace

Grand Funk - American Band

Boston - Rock and Roll Band

BTO - Roll on down the Highway

Metallica - Enter Sandman

Thin Lizzy - Boys are back in Town

I was going to say Radar Love, but looks like you've got that covered.

Classic rock seems pretty well covered, I've got some more orchestra suggestions:

Holst's 'The Planets' has some great movements, like 'Mars, Bringer of War'.  It was used as a temp track during the editing of Star Wars, and you'll see why.  Very good stuff.  Also many great songs in the Khatchaturian suite, like the adagio for strings (you'll recognize it when you hear it, it's used everywhere) and the sabre dance (another classic, very fast).

Moving to electronic, there are some great Sasha/Digweed tracks, like their symphony.  Just about anything from the Northern Exposure CDs (lots of arists) will do great, fast and tuneful, not just repetitive machine music.  I've been singing along to Audiolab's Satellite a lot this year.

Paul Oakenfold has some catchy tunes out.  I like his 'Starry eyed surprise' song used in the diet coke commercial, for instance, but the rest of the music on that cd is crap.  His live sets are good.

TuPac, 3 Doors Down, Stone Temple Pilots, Driving & Crying, Led Zeppelin assorted songs, Iron Butterfly, Bubble Puppy, Jim Morrison, Creed, 10,000 Maniacs, REM, Jack Johnson, Evanessence, Phil Collins, Mudhens, Temple of the Dog, Queen and Pink Floyd are usually pretty good driving music for me.
