Bring back the night

Flew in snapshot the other night and second half was at night had forgotten how cool it really is, I took some video and stills of it I'll post acouple, anyway thats what I wish for is the night and besides a flamming enemy looks much cooler going down in the dark. Cya in the Main all

i gotta agree on this one.... the nite time battles were cool and a total blast... with the new explosion graphics and stuff, it would make it totally awsome.

Sunsets are bad enough. Not everybody has a super bright LCD screen either (I only just recently got one, personally). Night = crap for most folks. Also, it's a fact that most people logged off when night rotated. It's just no fun. Can't see chit, can't shoot chit, can't do chit, basically.


Night = milkrunner's/dweeb's paradise, able to pork the entire map without being shot down by another player. There's little more to it than that, from the practical sense.

Now I admit night is interesting... "once in a while"... But let's leave that "once" to SEA and snapshots and such.

Krusty Krusty Krusty, night time is easily fixed w/a simple gamma adjustment and w/a lighted cockpit all is good and besides not asking for a three or six hour night just an hour or 45 minutes would be AWESOME so stop being a Krusty for a minute and go w/the flow

I say an hour or two of night.  Or you would need to time it perfectly to get buffs safely in at night.  It should be like 11:00 to 12:00 and 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM.  (for the british..and ppl who get up early)  



Or it would be awsome to have a rotatoin going from east to west in the map.  For ppl who don't like the dark it could be like 2 hours light, then sunset, and then an hour of dark.  If you wanted to get away from the dark go to the other side of the map and fight a different country  

The only draw back of the dark is you would have to watch your 6 carefully.

I love the night.  I have a screen shot of a TBM with a full moon in the back ground.  I would also like to see some of the heavy weather come back.  It all adds a little more of a challenge to get the job done.

The fact that you have to up your gamma to the point that the game looks like crap tells you something -- it tells you you can't SEE anything! Frankly, if the only way you can do anything at night is to "game the game" then go for it. In the SEA. In the AvA. MA has proven time and again it doesn't want night time (and yes night has changed a bit, but most folks' feelings have not)

EDIT: As an fyi: You simply said "bring the night back" -- you didn't suggest anything else. That idea is a poor idea. I've been behind ideas that enhanced the idea of "night" but that would take a major revision of AH code to achieve, like city/town lights, runway lights, search lights moving around looking for bombers (and perhaps latching onto them) and even things as extreme as realistic on-board radar. However, you just said "Bring night back" -- and that idea won't work, by itself.

I don't think people will sign off. The sky has been redone. The stars and moon are very nice. There are some things that need to be worked out. I think there should be a trial period for the night. We may be playing a game but its just like in real life. The night is always gonna be there and they do fly in it. It makes things more realistic.Unless you  have flown in the night since the upgrades I wouldnt say its a bad thing till you try it.
