well actually rino, the brits pushed the luftwaffe back on their own. operation sealion wasnt abandoned due to the americans;)

as for the supplies, we are eternally greatful

as is the rest of the world

I think even British historians came to the conclusion that Adolph's stupidity in switching the attacks to population centers from airfields saved the RAF.

If anyone "pushed the Luftwaffe back" it was Adolph. Thank him for saving England.

yup true, but it wasnt anything to do with the americans that we survived against 3:1 odds, against a highly trained air armada. we managed to get through by the skins of our teeth, and if it wasnt for us, the US would have had nowhere to fight back when they did finally join the war. so, really, by protecting our island, we protected the whole world's interests really.

maybe it was luck, but it worked out alright for everyone didnt it?

WW2 was saved by the Russians. The fact that Hitler broke off the idea of invasion due to Britains defense up to that point, and foolhardedly starting an eastern front. I think its safe to say that given a year or so to make proper invasion craft, and not starting a war with the Soviet Union, and without help from the US, no one could imagine the UK, or anyone at that point holding up for long.

As far as Canada I love em. They come down every summer and spend alot of money in my area. Some Quebecians have a bit of an attitude, but then again, what country doesnt have their own brand of jerks.

you need to get your facts straight

ok, firstly, the american eagle squadron wasnt all american, and they were only one squadron, what a massive help to us . and secondly, they played no part in the battle of britain, the eagle squadrons were only formed in 1941. i think only 1 american fought in the BoB, and i dont think he claimed a kill at all. the americans had nothing to do with britain holding hitler off, we did it ourselves.

doesnt mean however, that we dont appreciate the help from 41/42 onwards;)
